Gotham Whale
Today is Memorial Day in the USA, the day that we Today is Memorial Day in the USA, the day that we honor all those who paid the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom.
Their duty was to serve, our duty is to remember, and their memory will live in our hearts forever.
God Bless our fallen heroes and their families.
Saturday evening (5-27-23) was the first Sunset Wh Saturday evening (5-27-23) was the first Sunset Whale & Dolphin Cruise of the Season on the American Princess Cruises with Gotham Whale. It was a fun evening had by all with good company, Whales, Dolphin, and a beautiful Sunset. We saw two humpback whales doing some lunge feedings, tail throws, pec slaps and breaches with a pod of Bottlenose dolphins in the mix. The action this weekend was AMAZING, and it doesn’t look like it will stop! The Sea conditions today are very good with S winds around 5 kt, increasing to 5 to 10 kt this afternoon. Seas around 1ft-3 ft. Get out on the water today and/or tomorrow on the AP, it will be fun.
Thanks to Beth Miller for sharing the photos.
Yesterday was epic. Not our words, that was from t Yesterday was epic. Not our words, that was from the passengers (and the crew) on yesterday’s Whale and Dolphin watch on the American Princess Cruises (Gotham Whales research platform)
YES, it was EPIC.
As soon as we turned the corner into the Atlantic Ocean...IT WAS ON! Dolphins were the show that segwayed into a three-whale show that didn’t stop. When we had to leave, it was still going strong.
Lunge feedings, group feeding. Bubble net feeding (not a common sight here, actually very rare), Tail throws, non-stop tail slaps upside down and right-side up, chin slaps, breaches, pec slaps. Let’s put it this way, name the action…it happened. WHAT A DAY!
You need to get out and see this stuff!
