All memberships are valid for one year from date of purchase, except the Moby Dick level membership.
Gotham Whale works in association with American Princess Cruises, a commercial whale watching company. Gotham Whale membership entitles participants to the free cruises as follows:
- Individual: 1 Adult
- Dual: 2 Adult OR 1 Adult & 1 Child
- Family: 2 Adult & 2 Children
The cruises must be booked thorough the American Princess office. Gotham Whale, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization dedicated to the study, advocacy for and education about the whales and marine mammals of New York City through Citizen Science.
Membership benefit tickets (except for Blue Whale) cannot be split into multiple trips. Membership benefit tickets can be redeemed for either ‘whale watching and dolphin adventure cruise’ or ‘winter bird and seal watching cruise’ aboard the American Princess with a value of $45 USD for children’s tickets and $65 USD for adult tickets. American Princess sets the age for youth eligible for children’s tickets which is currently 5-12, Children under 5 are free. (updated 04/2022)
